The campus blends historic architecture with updated academic spaces, creating an environment that is rooted in tradition and current. It’s polished but not flashy, serious without being stiff.

Smith has a strong identity built around independence, academic freedom, and women’s leadership.

The student body is politically and socially engaged, with many women active around issues such as gender equity, climate change, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights.
